In 2017 Loadhog Ltd was ranked as one of the fastest growing SMEs in the UK for international exports in the annual Sunday Times Export Track. A large proportion of Loadhog’ s growth derives from investment in product development, in fact we set our-selves an objective each year for 25% of our turnover to come from products less than four years old, to ensure that we are always focussed in challenging the market with new solutions.

Loadhog HQ – The Hogworks
Home for Loadhog is The Hog Works; situated in Sheffield, UK. The Hogworks is a 120,000 sq. ft. renovated gun factory which houses all of our manufacturing, design and development resources, including a suite of Engel injection moulding machines, our state of the art MART wash plant and a dedicated team of designers and test engineers with an in-house testing facility.
We are 100% employee owned, making people our most valuable asset. Each and everyone of us has a vested interest in the business and plays a significant part in its growth. We consistently challenge each other to develop new ideas and new solutions to everyday problems within logistics.
Loadhog Ltd has been a proud member of the Employee Ownership Association since it was established as a registered company in 2003. GLIDE is an employee ownership model, formed in 2011, that represents all the shareholder members who work in its partner companies. GLIDE is an acronym of:

This definition embodies the main attributes of the people who work in our companies. Every shareholder in any investee company is automatically a member of GLIDE. Irrespective of how many shares a member has, it is one member, one vote on GLIDE matters.
GLIDE was established as a means for the founder, Hugh Facey and the co-founders to pass on their legacy to subsequent generations of employees, to protect our culture and ensure our values remain deep-rooted across the whole company, both now and in the future.
Why does GLIDE exist?
As shareholders, our mission is to build a long lasting employee owned business that adds value and makes a difference. We are invested in driving through growth and promoting innovation in all areas of the business. Everyone has the right to express their opinions in a responsible and constructive manner. Likewise, we all have a duty to listen to and explore the validity of those opinions. It is fantastic to know that everyone is an owner of their own business!

Supporting the Community
The ethos of giving something back to the community existed from the beginning at Loadhog. All companies underneath the GLIDE banner provide a brilliant network of people who often rally together to provide mass support for fundraising events and charitable projects that require the people power.
At the start of each year we ask the employees of Loadhog to put forward their donation suggestions to ensure that everyone has a say in where our support goes. We like to help out wherever we can and each period, Loadhog donates 1% of its profits to charity. We support not only the larger charities, but also other causes that are less publicised and therefore often overlooked.

Most recently Loadhog Ltd sponsored the Bluebellwood Children’s Hospice Dragon Boat Race with great success eventually rowing our way to victory after competing against various companies from around South Yorkshire. A fantastic amount was raised for the charity despite the English weather and team Loadhog will be returning to defend our title year on year.
Loadhog also works closely with a number of education bodies as well as local universities and colleges to develop new product ideas, invest in young talent and welcome a number of school placement students. We also encourage visits from local school children and colleges to give them an understanding of how a business is run as well as open their minds to the variety of careers open to them.
