2022 Year Review
5th January 2023
2022 was a strange year in many aspects for a lot of people. A turbulent time for politics, with the UK seeing 3 PMs, Russia invading Ukraine causing a potential energy crisis and overall, worldwide economic turmoil. This year will probably go down as a pretty challenging year, however there is hope that these challenges will forge a path towards a resilient future. Here at Loadhog we have not been immune to these external complications, but due to our hardworking team and valued clients we have managed to adapt and overcome.
2022, saw us travel to 9 countries and exhibit at 15 trade shows! This allowed for us to see what our customers wanted, have the face-to-face interaction that we have all missed over theses past couple pandemic-riddled years. As market leading innovators, partnerships with our customers are critical to changing the face of the global supply chain by providing cutting edge solutions.
This innovation was showcased at the start of the year with the releases of the Autotote & Omnimax. The Autotote is seen as the next development within intralogistics Totes. Loadhog recognised the importance of automation, with the global intralogistics market is expected to grow at annual rate of 15.5% in the years 2020 to 2030. While the Omnimax was designed as an omnichannel Tote that is able to be used throughout the whole supply chain. This can be from working with automation systems to maximise efficiency within the warehouse, to increasing vehicle fill during transportation.
Innovations wasn’t the only thing that went above and beyond in 2022. In October 2021, the Loadhog Foundation was born. This meant that with the Foundation being a registered company we can donate to a range of charities, no matter how large or small. Loadhog encourages the foundation by giving 1% of its budgeted pre-tax net profits every year. Some of the charitable actions of the Foundation included but weren’t limited to; Sheffield Half Marathon, River Clean Up Project, Tough Mudder, Dragon Boat Race & the kitchen installation of Grimesthorpe community centre and much more! These helped the Foundation raise an incredible £97,642 over the year. However, there is little time to reflect as we already have plenty of ideas of how to smash that target in 2023!
Another significant event in 2022 was the awarding of the Queens award for international trade. This is the second time since 2020 the award has been given to Loadhog for International Trade. Shaun Khan, Managing Director, said: “Loadhog winning a Queen’s Award for International Trade for the 2nd time, is a true testament to the hard work done by all our employees. I would like to thank everyone for their resilience and commitment as we continue to grow.” The phenomenal growth of Loadhog over the past 4 years has allowed growth across the globe by setting up subsidiaries in the USA & France. This has improved our service to our international customers and understand new and developing markets even better.
Finally, towards the back end of 2022 it was announced that Loadhog was Planet Mark certified. This certification acknowledges our commitment to continuous improvement in measuring and reducing carbon emissions, energy, water consumption, travel and waste. Planet Mark have set us a goal of a 5% reduction in annual emissions. This is above the 3.6% annually required for us to be on target for Net Zero in 2050.
We hope you are looking forward to 2023 as much as us! If you want to improve the sustainability and efficiency of your organisation visit us at https://loadhog.com/contact-us/ and we can help with you with numerous solutions.
