Within 18 months of joining Gripple Limited under its inaugural graduate recruitment programme at the age of 22 Glenn Bills has become the first product manager at its sister company Loadhog, Sheffield’s transit packaging innovator.
Armed with a first class degree in business and enterprise management from Sheffield Hallam University, Mansfield-born Glenn became a graduate trainee at Gripple, the city’s innovating wire joiner manufacturer, after coming through a tasking selection process.
Throughout the graduate programme he undertook projects in accounts, sales, ideas and innovations, marketing and production, which culminated being appointed as a junior product manager at Gripple. Whilst in this position his talents and potential were spotted by Loadhog as the company was looking for someone with commercial ability to face customers without a sales burden, who would also be charged with the research and development of new products.
Glenn said: “I relish the prospect or talking to customers and playing my part in realising the vision which the company has set out recently. This focuses on the development of new products across global markets and I look forward to working with the excellent design team we have here at The Hog Works.”
