Are you an experienced, multi skilled maintenance engineer who is highly motivated, ambitious and capable of working in an environment where continuous improvement is the norm? If this begins to describe you, then a career with award winning Loadhog Ltd may be right for you. We are now recruiting a number of multi-skilled maintenance engineers to join the engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for confident engineers who are unafraid to challenge decisions and capable of working both as part of a team and on their own to join one of the manufacturing sector’s most exciting and progressive companies.
What is the role?
Based at our Sheffield site and reporting to the engineering manager, your main tasks will be the repair and planned maintenance of injection moulding machines, plant facilities and all other equipment. There will be ongoing continuous improvement projects and some development engineering work may also be available to an appropriately qualified candidate. The position will initially entail working regular mornings and afternoons and nights, Monday to Friday up until the new year, after which the shift pattern will change to a panama 12 hour rotating days/nights pattern. A flexible, ‘can do’ attitude is therefore paramount.
Who you are
The ideal candidate should ideally be apprentice trained with experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You must be extremely team oriented, IT literate with excellent communication skills. You should be mechanically biased, but with some electrical ability and experience, and have knowledge of some, if not all of the following:
- bench fitting
- maintaining injection moulding machines
- PPM (planned preventive maintenance)
- PLC programming/interrogation whilst not essential, would be a distinct advantage
- electrical fault finding
We would also consider semi-skilled maintenance engineers/technicians who are qualified by experience, who have some the skills listed above.
