Omnimax container offers savings for manufacturers

15th August 2024

Manufacturing companies can save time and reduce costs by replacing stack-nest totes with the Omnimax container from Loadhog.

Durable plastic containers are ideal for storing and transporting parts, components and finished goods in the manufacturing sector. While stack-nest totes – designed to stack when filled and nest when empty – are a common choice, the Omnimax container from Loadhog offers some advantages over these products.

With no need to turn the container through 180 degrees, the Omnimax saves time – an important benefit for manufacturers facing labour availability issues. Instead, the Omnimax features bail arms when stacking is required. It also offers enhanced fill compared to most stack-nest options – in fact, it provides the largest usable volume on the market, with an average volume capacity 7% higher than directly competing products. This not only maximises space utilisation in delivery vehicles but also reduces waste and costs. In addition, with an 80mm nesting pitch, the Omnimax boasts higher return efficiencies than other nesting totes.

Designed with ergonomic features to enhance handling in manual applications, the Omnimax has also been engineered to work effectively with automated logistics systems. It is available in four heights – 300, 320, 370 and 400mm – and is compatible with Loadhog’s Pally & Lid system to provide an end-to-end returnable transit packaging system.

Loadhog is continually innovating its product range to help clients eliminate costly single-use packaging from their supply chains and alleviate labour shortages by reducing the need for handling. Its long-life containers feature recycled material to avoid UK plastic tax and can even be manufactured from 100% recycled material. The company also offers a swap-out scheme at the end of a product’s life, when it can be ground down and remoulded into a new, reusable solution.

Manufacturers already benefiting from Loadhog solutions include timber frame supplier, Merronbrook; independent brewery, Shepherd Neame; supplier of precision packaging products, Bizerba; fasteners manufacturer, Böllhoff; and pet food producer, Butcher’s Pet Care.
