Michael Hodgson Appointed People & Culture Director at Loadhog
20th July 2026
We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Hodgson as People & Culture Director at Loadhog.
Michael brings a wealth of experience across the Group, having built a 14-year career that began as a graduate at Gripple. He started in marketing and progressed through a variety of roles, developing a deep understanding of the Group, its people and its culture. In 2021, Michael was elected Chair of GLIDE (an employee-owned company representing all shareholder members who work in its partner companies), a position he has held full-time for the past five years.
As People & Culture Director, Michael will lead the development of Loadhog’s people agenda, supporting the company’s continued growth while strengthening the employee-owned culture that underpins its success. His extensive experience working across the Group, combined with his leadership of GLIDE, gives him a unique understanding of employee ownership, organisational culture and business governance, and his transition to Loadhog marks an exciting new chapter, allowing him to apply the knowledge and insights gained from his work within the Group.
Michael Hodgson commented: “I’m delighted to be joining Loadhog and looking forward to contributing to the business at a time where we’ve invested in our global manufacturing footprint and expanded into new markets. I’ve worked with the business for a number of years, and I’m now looking forward to contributing more directly across a range of initiatives geared towards developing our people, enhancing our culture and supporting the future growth of the business.”
We’re proud to be a GLIDE member business and an EOA Trustee Member. Alongside his new responsibilities at Loadhog, Michael will continue to support the employee ownership sector through his ongoing role as Co-Chair of the EOA Membership Council.
This appointment reinforces Loadhog’s commitment to investing in its people, strengthening its culture and supporting long-term business success through its ownership model.
